Today, I am pleased to announce three senior executive hires who will help us continue to build and grow the most comprehensive and scalable embedded finance platform in the industry.

We built Bond around the idea of driving financial inclusion.

Many corners of our communities today are underserved by the current financial system and we wanted to create the best developer-focused platform to enable innovators to level the playing field for financial services.

What started two years ago as wireframe sketches and basic developer docs for our platform is now being used by many customers and bank partners. I am so incredibly proud of what our team has accomplished to date.

Today, I am pleased to announce three senior executive hires who will help us continue to build and grow the most comprehensive and scalable embedded finance platform in the industry.

Helcio Nobre, coming off his most recent run at Rapyd, a global Fintech-as-a-Service platform, is joining us as Bond’s first Chief Product Officer. He joined Rapyd at a similar stage as Bond today and he built out the product roadmap that drove Rapyd’s product market fit and accelerated customer adoption. Helcio has fifteen years of experience in the fintech space with previous senior positions at both PayPal and Visa, and also started his own company which was acquired by MercadoLibre. We are thrilled to have him onboard.

“Roy and Yan have assembled the best team I've ever seen at a Series A company. The culture of transparency and openness at Bond really spoke to me and I was impressed by everyone I met during the interview process — including the product team members I’ll be working with every day,” said Nobre. “Consumers today, especially digital natives, expect to have a variety of finance options direct from the brands they trust, and being able to create this future of banking is a truly exciting proposition. Bond’s technology meets this moment by serving as the new critical infrastructure layer between banks and brands, which will transform banking as we know it today.”

Laura Kane also saw the massive opportunity in embedded finance and joined Bond to lead our sales efforts as Chief Sales Officer. With over 30 years of sales and go-to-market experience, she is our first sales hire and is building out our sales efforts and developing a finely tuned go-to-market strategy in partnership with our marketing team. She was previously SVP of Business Development at Quadpay/Zip, where she built their business development and sales team from scratch. She has also held senior sales roles at PayPal, American Express, GE Capital and Verisign.

“Bond is such an exciting young company in one of the hottest areas of fintech — embedded finance infrastructure — which is arguably the most strategic area to be in now,” said Kane. “In under two years, Roy and Yan have built one of the deepest benches of talent I’ve ever seen in fintech and an incredible technology stack. I look forward to working alongside this team to build a world-class sales organization that offers a truly differentiated level of service to customers before, during, and after they decide to work with Bond.”

Sandrine Cousquer-Okasmaa joins Bond as General Counsel where she brings over two decades of experience to the role. She was previously Chief Legal Officer at Imprint, a fintech startup. Prior to Imprint, she led legal for Goldman’s banking-as-a-service partnerships and negotiated their partnerships with Walmart, Amazon, Jetblue and Apple — which led to the creation and launch of the Apple Card. Sandrine also held senior legal roles at American Express and Mastercard before joining Goldman.

“Banking- as- a- Service is reshaping the global financial services landscape and opening new opportunities for brands, banks and the millions of customers they serve,” said Cousquer-Okasmaa. “Throughout the interview process, I was impressed by the combined operational experience of the senior management team, their relentless focus on doing the right thing for their clients, and a rare mix of proven business skills and authenticity. I am thrilled to join a company driving meaningful growth for its clients through a culture focused on people, innovation and compliance.”

Join Helcio, Laura, Sandrine and the rest of the Bond team as we reimagine the possibilities for fintech to improve people’s lives!
